Homecoming ride from Willow Ridge.

Collected after a groom, a boarding stay or a day at daycare, and brought home to whoever is waiting with the welcome.

How it works from Willow Ridge.

Collected while you’re at work and brought back to whoever is home.

Groom finish times move, boarding homes have collection windows and daycare closes before plenty of us leave work. The homecoming ride takes care of that last leg: we collect your pet and bring them back to whoever is home.

Before the day we agree the collection address, when the team expects them to be ready, who hands them over and who will be waiting at home. After a longer stay we’ll also ask about their bag and anything the team needs to pass on.

At home we hand them over with their bag and the team’s notes, and message you to say they’re back. If you’re still away, the person at home will know everything you would.

How the ride goes.

  1. Before

    Plan the pickup

We agree the collection address, the ready time and the person at each end.

  2. Collection

    From the team

We meet the team, check their bag and any notes, and settle them for the ride home.

  3. On the road

    Home we go

A calm ride in their own space, with their blanket from home beside them.

  4. Arrival

    Welcome home

Handed to the person you named with their bag and notes, then a message to you.

Dogs and cats on the homecoming ride

Dogs

  • Tired dogs often snooze on the way home
  • Their lead goes to whoever opens your door
  • Tell us if they’ll want a quiet spot after a groom

Cats

  • Home in the same carrier they left in
  • Handed over still in their carrier, door closed
  • Let them come out in their own time at home

When the ready time moves.

A groom can take longer than planned and boarding homes sometimes have a set collection window. Tell us what the team has said and we’ll plan around it. If the time changes on the day, we’ll talk to you and the team and agree a new pickup.

If you’re still traveling when your pet comes home, make sure the person at home has their food, any notes from the stay and a quiet place ready. We’ll go through everything the team passed on with them at the door.

Pickups in Willow Ridge.

A few things that help the hello at your door go smoothly.

  • Long driveways

Tell us where to stop and which door to come to, so we don’t surprise anyone.

  • Shy cats

Have them in their carrier before we arrive, in a quiet room with the door closed.

  • More than one pet

Tell us about every pet riding. Each one gets their own secured space.

In their bag.

  • Their carrier, if it stayed at home
  • The collection address and ready time
  • Who’s handing them over
  • Who’s home, with a phone number
  • A quiet spot ready for their return

What we’ll ask you.

  1. The collection address and ready time
  2. Who at the business will hand them over
  3. Who will be home to receive them
  4. What’s coming home with them
